AmerADU was founded with a clear mission: to deliver safe, fast, and affordable housing solutions to California homeowners and communities that need them most. As a veteran-owned company, we operate with the discipline, accountability, and commitment to results that military service instills. We do not make promises we cannot keep. We build on time, we build to code, and we stand behind every unit we deliver.
Our leadership understands the housing crisis personally. The people on our team have lived and worked in California communities facing skyrocketing rents, limited land, and a regulatory environment that has historically made construction slow and expensive. AmerADU was built to cut through all of that — offering a product that is pre-approved by the state, manufactured to the highest California standards, and delivered and installed with minimal disruption to your property.

Meet Our Founder

Major General David Baldwin (Ret.) is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AmerADU. A retired Major General and former Adjutant General of California, he brings more than 40 years of leadership experience in large-scale operations, emergency response, logistics, and infrastructure coordination.

During his military career, he commanded more than 30,000 Soldiers, Airmen, civilian personnel, and cadets within the California National Guard, and led statewide responses to wildfires, earthquakes, mudslides, civil disturbances, and public health emergencies. His experience in rapid deployment, strategic planning, and operational leadership now guides AmerADU's mission to deliver scalable modular housing, workforce housing, and resilient infrastructure solutions.

General Baldwin is a veteran of two combat tours in Afghanistan and holds advanced degrees from the U.S. Army War College and the University of Southern California, along with a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University.
